This activity simulates the process lighting designers must do to diagnose problems in a stage lighting scenario.
Ten minutes before show time, the students are required to do their final checks to ensure the light show is ready for the performance. At least one light in the simulation will not work. The students need to troubleshoot, and fix the problem before the show starts.
The activity is designed to randomly present problems with different solutions each time the activity is played. There are over 5000 different scenarios. Students use their existing knowledge of light systems and various tools to solve each problem.
If you know how to diagnose problems in stage lighting, give it a try.
